"Another Day...More Beautiful Finds"

New Mirror

Fabulous boutique

The Details

Totally unique piece

There's definitely a place in my heart and home (always) for vintage mirrors. This weekend proved to be a great opportunity to find and spot some unique treasures for my home or yours. I'm often asked what to I do with all the mirrors I find? Well many are offered for sale when I'm a vendor at The Remnants of The Past Vintage Show. While others I sell privately, some are repurposed to chalkboards for events, and I hoard all the others (lol).

If you'd like to see what I'm doing in between posting here follow me on Instagram. I hope that you'll join me there and in the mean time happy collecting, thrifting for more beautiful finds for your home! See you next time....

"A Hope And A Prayer"

Pinterest image

Okay I'm leaving my house really early in the morning in hopes of finding an old hutch, armoire and I would love, love, love to find a table like this beauty. Wait...I think I can hear my sweet husband ask...where will you put it honey? And you know what my reply is...I'll figure it out later!

Wish me luck.

Happy collecting, thrifting and finding beauties like this one.

"For Sale"

I never tire of finding these beautiful vintage pieces. Some may call them a crescendo or sideboard...I just call them fabulous! How beautiful would a wedding cake and all its pretties look on top of this piece. Or perhaps re purposed as a double sink vanity? If you can just imagine with me a fresh coat of paint or varnish and it can become anything your heart desires.

It was truly a beautiful day, a delicious lunch, a picturesque drive home and of course...  a fabulous find. Let me know if you are interested in either of the two I have for sale.

Until next time happy collecting, thrifting and beautiful sunny days.

"A Pleasant Surprise"

Look at what I found

While I was showing a couple of girlfriends around a favorite shop to visit when I'm in Los Olivios....look what I found! this beautiful book "Missing Goat Farm Book" by Heather.

Although I have never met her personally I feel like I have as we 'chit-chat' between our blogs...holding this book in my hands definitely made me feel so proud and happy for my (blog) friend. Congratulations!

"Reminiscing"

Oh I remember this show very well....it was definitely a trip of a lifetime. The setting in Battle Ground, Washington was absolutely picturesque, with so many beautiful items to choose from and the food was "off the chain".

However, the highlight of this trip was a chance meeting with (Jerome) one of The Barn House Boys. I can promise you that I haven't forgotten this experience and you can read more about it here.

Thank you for dropping by...The Blue Farmhouse.

"Just Some Time For Me...Finds"

 A beautiful addition
[Just in time for Thanksgiving]

 Service for 4

Ironstone China Platter

I was really lucky to find these beautiful dishes...while I was on my little "me time" road trip. I have lots of blue dishes but none quite as beautiful as these plates. And I love the rectangle platter...I can use it with my collection of brown and white dishes.

So until then... happy collecting, thrifting and here's to finding many treasures on your next "me time trip"....

"Just Some Me Time"

It felt great to take some time just for "me" this morning. So what did I do? I got in my car and leisurely drove to one of my favorite destination...beautiful Los Olivos.  As I head out of town immediately I felt myself exhale and relax while soaking in the surrounding sights of fall...and of course uncovering some great finds and eating at Panino's.

So until next time happy thrifting, collecting and exhaling...oh and don't forget to come back to see some dishes I found...they're beautiful!

"Looks Like We Made It"

This past weekend has been more than exhilarating...it was over the top fabulous. I so enjoyed being a vendor at my first big show "Remnants of The Past Vintage Show" in San Luis Obispo... and definitely not my last.

All my prayers answered and financial goals met...including a very special visitor to my space...Rachel Ashwell! [Yes...and I'll share photos with you more later]... but I must first say a big thank you to my husband and daughter Nicole for motivating me to go after my dreams. They both supported me all the way and I owe them much gratitude.

I'll do my very best to capture and recount my weekend in the days to follow...it was so much fun as we felt support from fellow vendors as well as from Judy and her staff.

I do hope you'll come back and share this experience with me. Dreams do come true and prayers were definitely answered.

Until next time happy collecting, thrifting and remembering...
