     While I was showing a couple of girlfriends around a favorite shop to visit when I'm in Los Olivios....look what I found! this beautiful book "Missing Goat Farm Book" by Heather.

     Although I have never met her personally I feel like I have as we 'chit-chat' between our blogs...holding this book in my hands definitely made me feel so proud and happy for my (blog) friend. Congratulations!

Our new...but old ride

Look I can ride too!

     This is one of my latest finds...and thanks to my husband for putting new white wall tires, handle bars and doing some other small maintenance tuneups. 

     It's almost like a new bike except I really don't want it to look like one so I have decided not to repaint it...but I would like to find an old basket for the front... anyway I'm looking forward to riding together with my husband...sharing some summer fun!

" Bedroom Transformation...Beginning Stages"

     This is how I'm transforming a $15.00 tufted vintage upholstered headboard and turning it into something fabulous. It all started last night with a shopping trip to Target store. It was there that I purchased this beautiful duvet cover and shams, down blend comforter, extra charcoal/gray checker pillowcases, new pillows, sheet set and new blinds.

     Later I will soften and disguise the beds corner by draping fabric from the ceiling...perhaps a soft gray to down play the vibrant color of the headboard.

     There's still more to do but I'm happy (and so is my daughter) with the results so far and color too! Until next time happy collecting, shopping and thrifting...

     So it just occurred to me that I don't have to go anywhere or if I can't get to the beach or Paris or anywhere else...I can go outside! So that's exactly what I did...grabbing some favorite magazines, books, a cup of coffee and an store bought oatmeal cake. 

     And in this solitude I heard birds chirping, a dog barking, a lawn mower across the way and I feel totally happy here..."Alone Time" in my front yard.
